Binance completes verifiable reserves proof for 10 tokens

Binance says users can now check 1:1 reserve backing for ten tokens in its 31 October snapshot. The proof is live, but five percent of the assets affected by the hack remain to be replenished.

What Binance has made verifiable

Binance said on 2 November 2026 that it had finished generating the zero-knowledge proof for a reserves snapshot taken at 00:00 UTC on 31 October. The exchange says holders of BTC, ETH, USDT, BNB, SOL, USDC, XRP, USD1, RLUSD and ZEC can now check that their recorded balances were backed by reserves at a minimum ratio of 1:1 at that snapshot time.

This is a change from the earlier announcement that the proof would be generated. A completed proof gives an account holder a way to check inclusion and backing for the listed assets, rather than relying solely on a statement that reserves have been replenished. The Guardian independently reported that Binance had made the verification data available on 2 November.

How to check and what the result does not establish

Binance directs customers to its official Proof of Reserves page, where they can sign in, obtain the verification files and run an open-source verifier on their own computer. The system uses a Merkle tree to check that an account balance is included in the snapshot and a zero-knowledge proof to establish the stated backing ratio without disclosing individual balances.

The result applies to the snapshot date and the ten named tokens. It is not a real-time account statement, does not establish that every token on the platform is covered by this particular proof, and does not itself confirm that withdrawals are currently enabled on every network. Customers should use the official website rather than links sent in unsolicited messages.

What remains after the October security incident

The exchange says it has replenished approximately 95% of the assets affected by the 29 October security breach using its own resources. That percentage measures replacement of the stolen asset value, not the number of customer accounts covered by the new proof. Binance says the remaining five percent consists mainly of less-liquid tokens outside the ten named assets, which take longer to obtain in the necessary quantities.

Binance plans another reserves snapshot on 4 November with broader token coverage. It estimates that generating the next complete zero-knowledge proof will take 40 to 50 hours. Separately, the company says it plans another phased withdrawal reopening on 3 November. Neither timetable is confirmation that a particular asset or network has already reopened.
